I thought I might make a post all about Emma because she is doing some really funny things right now. Every day she seems to do something new that is cute and just so entertaining. Once she started crawling (about 2 months ago) that was the end of any peaceful times. She is into everything! She seems to have developed a fondness for grabbing handfuls of dirt out of my rubber plant. She pulls up on everything. Emma is getting really brave. She takes steps around the coffee table or the ottoman. The other night she pulled up on the dvd cabinet and let go. She stood completely still for about 5 seconds.
Emma now has 5 teeth and is cutting a sixth. Teething is kind of hard of us because she starts waking up in the middle of the night about 2 weeks before the tooth actually breaks the skin. Thankfully, she isn't biting people only the tables.
She has figured out what no means, but she refuses to mind. When you tell her no, she just smiles and shakes her head no, then continues on with what she was doing. She is also blowing kisses - well, sort of - at least that's what we think she is doing. When one of us blows a kiss at her, she starts smacking her lips together.
She has a nasty little temper which her doctor discovered at her last check-up. The doctor was trying to check her ears and we had to hold her down because she kept trying to flip over. It made her really mad and she started screaming. She is doing the same to us when we try to change her diaper. She also gets mad when someone takes something away from her.
Life with Emma is very entertaining.
