Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
We had a very nice Christmas this year. The kids were bouncing off the walls the few days before Christmas. I think the excitement was starting to get to them. On Christmas Eve, our immediate family came over to celebrate. We had a nice dinner around 5 p.m. After clean-up and dessert, we settled down to open presents. We couldn't keep up with the kids! They tore through their presents. Emma wasn't all that impressed. She opened a toothbrush from her stocking and spent most of the evening carrying it around. Surprisingly, the kids didn't give us any trouble about going to bed.
Emma had Cris and I up around 5 a.m. on Christmas morning. Mom got up next. Tyler was the next child up at about 5:40 or so. We let him wake Kyla and Zech up. Unfortunately, he thought it would be great fun to go screaming (literally) into Kyla's room to wake up. Not cute! We told him that it was rather cruel. I think Zech heard him and came upstairs. None of them just seemed horribly excited at first about even looking at their gifts from Santa. Once they woke up, they seemed to get more excited. Emma received a learning table which plays various music and lights up. Kyla received a scooter with protective gear. Zech got a basketball goal, and Tyler got an MP3 player. All in all the kids were very happy. After checking out their Santa gifts, they opened their presents from us. It was a nice morning and for the first time, the kids seemed really excited about all of their presents. They went to spend the rest of Christmas with their other parents about 10 a.m.
I took a nap and Cris started playing on his new compute game. The rest of the day was just us doing nothing. We watched tv all day. (Sad, isn't it?)
We were a little more motivated this morning and put up all of our Christmas decorations. Yeah!!! Our house is now back to normal.
We hope our family and friends all had an excellent holiday and we wish you all of the best in the coming new year.
Love to you all.
