Summer Time

Whew... what a summer!
It's been a whirlwind kind of summer but its been fun. The kids only have about 2 weeks until school starts back and it seems just like yesterday that they got out of school for the summer.

Our 3 older children have each had trips - Tyler to the mountains with a friend, Tyler & Kyla to Cincinnati, OH to visit some of their dad's family, Zech to church camp and on a mission trip to Dominican Republic.
Cris' mom, Brenda, is currently with us for a few weeks. She took Cris, Emma & myself to Chattanooga, TN for the day. We ate lunch at the English Rose Tea Room. Cool story - the manager of the tea room is from the same area in England as Cris and his mom. Brenda is actually friends with her mother. It was a complete surprise for Brenda and she thoroughly enjoyed the tea & lunch. Cris enjoyed it as well because he was able to have a taste of England in his lunch (steak & kidney pie). We also went to the Tennessee Aquarium. It was a really nice day trip.

We've hosted our annual Crannigan 4th of July bash. Lots of good friends, good food, and fireworks! This coming weekend we will also host a birthday party for Brenda's 75th birthday. After this, we will start winding down and getting ready for school.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their summer too.
