I decided to go ahead and make another post to catch up on other news in our lives - even though I just made a post about Zech. I kind of wanted to keep his separate. Sorry about that.
Life is good & we are as busy as usual. Basketball season ended and soccer & baseball started soon after. Zech had his first soccer game this past Saturday & they won. Apparently, Zech hasn't lost his soccer skills after missing 2 years. Kyla started baseball practice a couple of weeks ago. It's interesting, but she is doing pretty good given that she has never played before. Tyler should start his practices in a few more weeks.
Spring break was the past 2 weeks. Cris took vacation the first week and we had all of the kids the entire week. We didn't have any major plans. We took time to spend some individual time with each of the kids. Cris started & finished a big project. We took the den and made an actual bedroom for Zech. Cris put up a partition across the den so Zech has a room and we have a small den. This is what it looks like.
So - it's pretty cool & Cris did a great job on it. We painted the den & stairwell a light brown color - the same color as our living room. It looks good, but the hallway is a little dark. We will work on painting the Zech & Tyler's room soon. We had to wait until they boys decided on the color they wanted.
On the Friday of that week, we took a day trip to Chattanooga. Cris wanted to visit an English tea room there called the English Rose. It is really neat & he was able to pick up a couple of small jars of Marmite. We didn't stay to eat lunch because the kids just weren't interested in the fare. The menu looks to have some very authentic English food. We plan to make another trip (without the kids) so that Cris can have tea and lunch. We did take the kids to see the Creative Discovery Museum. It was alot of fun for all of us. There were things of interest for all of the kids - which can be difficult when they range in age from 2 to 13.
Anyways, that is about all of the news I have for now. Hope that everyone is well.
