Hello to all. We wanted to wish all of our family and friends a Happy Thanksgiving. We hope you have all had a wonderful day.We have finished football season. Yeah!! After the regular season, the boys had their playoff games to determine the champions of the league for each level. Zech's team lost their first game and was out of the playoffs. The opposing team of Tyler's first game forfeited which meant that his team went on to the next game. The game was really close and they did such a great job. Sadly, they lost the game, which meant they were out of the championship. Cris & I had to work the gates (take up money) the day of the championship game, or at least a couple of hours. It was cold & wet & miserable, but we did our share. The football league has a banquet this month for all of the boys and their families. It was a nice treat for the boys, but a really long night. They got trophies and sweatshirts. Tyler also received a necklace with a football charm since this is technically his last year in the league.
Zech has joined the chess club at his school again this year. Zech competed in a chess tournament last weekend - on both Saturday and Sunday. He managed to place 6th in the elementary individual division. His school came in 2nd. Not too shabby!
Cris & I painted our kitchen & dining room last weekend. The color is called "stylish plum". Cris & I have had quite a good time poking fun at the name. Obviously, it is purple in color, but its kind of a deep purple. It looks really good. I'm proud of myself for choosing the color.
The last few days have been really busy for us - cooking, cleaning and trying to get ready for Thanksgiving. Cris did well with the turkey this year so no computer for him! (He didn't cook the turkey for long enough last year and bought himself a computer - to cheer himself up). My grandmother, brother, and mom's friend, Mal, all came over for lunch. We obviously had the kids too. It was a nice meal and we all enjoyed spending time together. Too often we are so busy and just can't seem to make the time to spend together. This Saturday we will have the Daniel side of my family over for finger foods and to visit with each other. It's sort of become a tradition.
Life is good, just a little busy. We send all of you our love.
