Fall Break

Shhhh..... do you hear that?? It's peace & quiet & no one rushing out the door to go somewhere. The kids are on fall break so this past week - for us - was a wonderful & very welcome break. No school, no gymnastics, no soccer (well, except for Zech), no football. Cris still had to work & we still had some commitments but for the most part, it was a relaxing week for us. Of course, next week we are back to our usual chaos.

We did spend some quality family time together Thursday evening & Friday. We've played games and went to Cane Creek Park. It was a beautiful day so we walked around the lake. Then we treated the kids to ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Homemade pizza was the meal of choice & turned out awesome!

It's nice to have this time because more often than not, it feels very hard to connect to the kids & each other when we are always going in opposite directions. But we wouldn't have it any other way. Our children are healthy & active and that is such a huge blessing.
