Emma has now moved from the crib to a real bed. YEAH! We decided over the weekend to try to put Emma in a real bed and decided to use the bunk beds in the girls' bedroom instead of buying a toddler bed. We separated the bunk beds and they sit alot lower to the ground than a regular bed. So if she does roll out of bed she doesn't have far to fall (what kind parents we are).
So far so good. She started on Sunday and (knock on a big piece of wood, please) seems to be ok with it. Our biggest problem is that she has been waking up about 4:30 a.m.; she comes to our room - throws open our door - and hollars out "chocky" - which in Emma translation means chocolate milk. The first night we just put her in bed with us. Last night Cris took her back to her bed. That doesn't seem to bother her either.
Basketball season is in full swing. The games began the first weekend in January. We didn't quite expect that to happen so soon. We usually have at least a week. Anyways, both boys had a game on Saturday and Sunday of the first weekend. Last weekend, each boy had a game on Saturday only. Tyler's team lost all 3 games. Zech's team won 1 game and they lost 2 (I think). This will be our life for the next couple of months. Honestly, we enjoy basketball more than the football so it isn't too bad.
We also met another British man who is living in Cookeville. His name is Martin. His son goes to Capshaw with Zech. Tomorrow night the school is having a family heritage night. Cris was given his name and called him about the heritage night. He invited us over to his house this week so we could all meet. They were really nice and I think Cris really enjoyed talking to someone from "home" .
Hope that everyone is well and having a happy new year so far.
