Emma was healthy for a period of about 3 weeks, but she started running a fever Friday night. We aren't sure if she has a viral infection or another ear infection so we will be off to the doctor on Monday. Kyla had a nasty little viral infection for about 8-9 days a little over 2 weeks ago. She didn't really have any symptoms other than a fever, but she had to miss quite a few days of school. Then Tyler came home from a school camping trip and low & behold - he had poison ivy. His is now cleared up as well. Zech has been the only healthy child (oops! hope I didn't jinx him).
Other news... There is so much that I will probably just briefly mention things.
Fleetguard had an Easter egg hunt the weekend of April 2. It was the first time they had an event like this and it was in connection with the Relay for Life (a cancer fundraising event). They had face painting, snacks, child fingerprinting, pictures with the Easter bunny, sidewalk chalk, and the actual Easter egg hunt. For the egg hunt, they divided the kids into groups of preschool and below, kindergarten children, and then school-age children. The kindergarten kids were able to choose which group they went with. Needless to say, they went with the younger group. Kyla and Emma hunted with the first group. Well, Emma didn't really hunt. She just put the eggs in her basket & then took them out. Both girls had fun. Then the boys hunted their eggs. I think all in all we all had a good time. The weather was beautiful as well.
Zech had his birthday. For his birthday dinner, we had spaghetti and peanut pie. As an added factor we let each of the children have a friend over that weekend. Unfortunately Zech's wasn't able to stay the night
but we will have him over again sometime. It was a busy night, but they all had a good time. Zech enjoyed his gifts (if his smile is any indication).Cris had a meeting in Nashville last Monday. He went to Nashville on Monday, stayed the night, and came home on Tuesday. The group was all treated to dinner and a hockey game.
I believe that is it for tonight. I still have quite a bit of news to pass on, but I will do that another night soon.
Hope everyone is well, happy, and had a good Easter.
